The HarvardWestlakePrep difference
Harvard-Westlake-specific feedback, on your child's own words.
The four questions Harvard-Westlake parents ask us most, answered plainly.
01
Who is reading my child's answers?
An EduAvenues instructor, not software. Your child gets line-by-line notes on their Student Questionnaire answers, usually within 7 business days: what sounds like them, and what sounds like everyone else.
Applicants complete a Student Questionnaire of short-answer questions about themselves and their interests.
02
Is this actually preparing my child for Harvard-Westlake?
Lessons follow the school's own application: the Student Questionnaire, the ISEE, recommendations, and the interview. The school does not recommend ISEE tutoring, so our feedback focuses on the questionnaire and the interview.
Harvard-Westlake does not recommend taking the ISEE more than once and does not recommend tutoring or other special preparation.
03
How does this fit into a busy school year?
It is online and self-paced. Your child works in short sessions around school, activities, and family time, with no fixed class to miss and a real instructor to answer questions.
04
When should we start?
Early. Seventh and ninth grade applicants who submit the Application Form by the November interview invitation deadline are invited to interview, so it helps to have the form done before the questionnaire.
7th and 9th grade applicants who submit the Application Form by November 13, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. PT are guaranteed an interview invitation.
